In 2005 the intention was set by the International Centers for Spiritual living Youth Seminars Program to increase our participation in our global community. Shortly after that time a series of incredible "synchronicities" occurred that led us to be contacted by a group in Africa looking to expand the education of its people. The youth seminars program then embarked on a bold initiative to support the building of two schools in Malawi, Africa. Over the past three years the project with the support of a select few individuals, in particular Rev. Keith Cox, has moved forward by finding the resources needed to fund and then build these schools. It was decided that we should work through a group who already had experience working and building schools in Africa by the name of buildOn.

In June of 2008 a second delegation from the youth seminars program – along with representatives from United Centers for Spiritual Living and Unity – traveled to the school sites to participate in the building of the schools, interacted with the people whose lives will be changed from of this effort, and attended ceremonies to celebrate their opening.

To date we have funded and built 10 schools . . . and we are not done yet!
